Venue Facilities
The Sydney International Equestrian Centre is Australia’s premier location for equestrian activities including show jumping, dressage, eventing, spring horse shows, exhibitions, trade shows and small farm field days. The site’s facilities also complement a broader array of sporting events such as cycling, school cross-country carnivals, dog trials, as well as corporate events, milestone birthdays, weddings and other social occasions.
The Sydney International Equestrian Centre features a Main and Indoor arena with multiple purpose-built sand and grass surfaces suitable for competition, warm up and training activities. There is also a Hacking Paddock and Showjumping and Dressage Arenas, a Cross-country Course capable of hosting novices through to the elite horses and riders, a Steeplechase Track, Stables and Accommodation.
The Main Arena provides grass and fixed seating for up to 6,000 spectators, PA System, a canteen, general and accessible amenities. The Indoor Arena has covered seating for 1,150 spectators as well as fully serviced Offices, a Conference Centre, PA System, Canteen, general and accessible amenities.
The fully maintained Cross-country course is ideal for introductory class horses through to three-star competitors. Two and three-star events can use the core venue as well as expanding to selected areas within the Sydney Western Regional Park. The 1.2km Steeplechase Track, made up of sand and grass trails, is fully equipped with running rails.
A Training Cross Country Course has recently been added to SIEC’s list of assets. This has opened new opportunities for venue use and allows riders to train safely on industry standard jumps and surfaces.
The venue provides 300 Stables, fixed accommodation for 80, 38 permanent caravan sites, combined caravan/truck site for up to 70 vehicles, general and accessible amenities as well as a kitchen, dining and recreation facilities.
